Caregiving is more than just a profession to me -- it's a calling. With a heart rooted in faith and committed to compassion, I believe that God has a purpose for every life, young and old, including individuals with disabilities. Each person has unique strengths, dreams, and the capacity to thrive when given the right support.
Direct Support Philosophy
Success can look different for everyone. For those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, it often looks like small, meaningful steps gaining independence, expressing needs, building relationships, or learning new skills. My role as a caregiver is to meet individuals exactly where they are emotionally, physically, and developmentally and to provide support to achieve the version of success that is right for them. Supporting someone in reaching their goals, no matter how big or small, fills my spirit with joy. It is an honor to be part of their journey, to advocate for their needs, and to celebrate every victory along the way.
Early Childhood Education Philosophy
I believe children deserve to be heard, respected, and nurtured as individuals. A strong foundation in early childhood sets the tone for lifelong growth, so l strive to create environments that are built on trust, empathy, and balanced guidance. Rather than simply giving directives, I focus on equipping children with the tools they need to become self-sufficient, confident, and capable problem solvers. Respect, redirection, and gentle leadership are key-without them, we risk missing the chance to truly empower them.
