X-tra Special Events was created for the love of my sister, who has Down syndrome, and a desire to create more opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to connect, make friends, and have fun in an environment where they feel welcomed and included.

​

We currently host social gatherings such as holiday parties, game nights, karaoke, and other events designed to bring people together and create lasting memories.

​

Our goal is to make these events completely free for the individuals and families we serve. We never want cost to be the reason someone misses out on an opportunity to socialize, celebrate, or simply have a great time with friends.

​

Your donation helps make that possible. Contributions go toward the costs of hosting and creating these events, including venues, food, decorations, entertainment, activities, and other event expenses.

​

As X-tra Special Events grows, we hope to offer professional party decorating and event-planning services to help fund our mission. The goal is simple: use our love of celebrations to help create more free opportunities for the I/DD community to celebrate, connect, and belong.
